Cor Gout é il leader dei Trespassers W, un collettivo artistico olandese che dagli anni ’80 ha prodotto una lunga serie di lavori tra avanguardia rock e psichedelia urbana. Hanno saputo tradurre in poesia o filosofia un intenso percorso musicale costellato di importanti testimonianze. Questo libro raccoglie tutti i testi composti in inglese e tradotti anche in olandese e francese. Un lavoro mastodontico, corredato di molte fotografie e di tutti gli artwork. Un libro che permette un’immersione totale nell’universo di questi visionari paladini della libertà espressiva. Coi loro testi densi di significati hanno fatto politica, hanno denunciato le contraddizioni del capitalismo, che dietro le lusinghe del denaro armano i terroristi che colpiscono l’occidente. Ma le tematiche affrontate sono moltissime e c’e una frase in copertina che la dice lunga: « what will you do to be loved”, perché alla fine e sempre l’amore la forza più grande che muove il mondo.

Cor Gout est le leader de Trespassers W, un collectif artistique néerlandais qui a produit depuis les années 1980 une longue série d’œuvres se situant entre rock d’avant-garde et psychédélisme urbain. Ils ont su traduire en poésie ou en philosophie un intense voyage musical parsemé de témoignages importants. Ce livre rassemble toutes les paroles composées en anglais et également traduites en néerlandais et en français. Un travail de titan, agrémenté de nombreuses photographies et de toutes les illustrations. Un livre qui permet une immersion totale dans l’univers de ces paladins visionnaires de la liberté d’expression. Avec leurs textes denses de sens, ils ont aussi touché à la politique, dénoncé les contradictions du capitalisme, qui derrière les flatteries de l’argent arme les terroristes qui frappent l’Occident. Mais les thèmes sont nombreux et une phrase sur la pochette en dit long : « Que feras-tu pour être aimé », car finalement l’amour est toujours la plus grande force qui fait bouger le monde.
